We have a gorgeous little apartment for a week in a place called Magnific Rock. It is a pretty special place in Popoyo, Nicaragua.
There is surf for everyone, little 3ft rollers, larger 6-8ft rollers and then the big 20ft waves out the back with a jet ski to drop you in.
If I sound like I know about surfing, I don’t!
Like I said Magnific Rock is a very special place. The views are spectacular, breath-taking. Every night at sunset, everyone stops in their tracks; even the dogs and cats sit their little dog and cat bums down and gaze up to the heavens for 45 minutes of streaky, orangey beauty.
Tonight as the sun went down, I had a moment to remember that life wasn’t always this serene, easy and adventurous.
I worked really really hard to get here. I spent a few years busting my gut with different projects trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.
And then once I decided what I wanted to do it took a year of working 7 days a week, day and night not sure whether I was going to succeed or fail.
And then it happened…
Things started to go my way.
The hard work started to pay off.
Life started to get very interesting.
Of course there is nothing to get to, it is all part of the journey and I now have more goals and dreams and hopes. But for tonight I am going to enjoy the moment. This very moment is what I worked for all that time and this time, it paid off.
What were the moments for you when it all paid off?
